Core Responsibilities

  • This is a dual role position. The primary responsibilities for this position requires the candidate to be highly skilled to provide administrative and office management support to the Office of the Vice President and the Directors of EH&S. This position is also seeking a motivated individual who will have the ability to work on a diverse set of processes, including but not limited to the management of the EH&S violations process and the training compendium review. Other assigned functions will include developing work flow processes and coordination with regulatory agencies, Con Edison's Law Department, The Learning Center, and all EH&S Subject Matter Experts.
  • Provide office management/administrative support for the vice president and direct report staff as required.
  • The Executive Assistant to the Vice President will be responsible for tracking tasks assigned to the Vice President's direct reports, screening calls, receiving visitors, maintaining monthly reports and files, scheduling appointments, and preparing correspondence which are often sensitive in nature.
  • Assist in coordinating special events and volunteer activities. Assist in coordinating activities for various community programs, as required. Provide executive support during system emergencies and CERC administrative duties. Assist with special projects, duties, and responsibilities, as necessary.
  • Respond to and track complaints and sensitive correspondence from stakeholders, including elected officials, community boards, and customers.
  • Review and streamline office processes for optimum efficiency.
  • The Specialist will also manage the work flow process for EH&S-related violations including investigation, tracking,timely implementation, reporting, and trend analyses.
  • The Specialist will coordinate the EH&S training Compendium working collaboratively with the EH&S Subject Matter Experts and the Learning Center.
  • Participate as a member of the EH&S Compliance Liaison team on compliance issues to help move the company closer to a Zero Harm culture.
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree And Two (2) years relevant work experience
  • Associate's Degree And Four (4) years relevant work experience
  • High School Diploma/GED And Five (5) years relevant work experience Related experience in admin support and process improvements

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Organizational Management, Marketing, Communications, English, Math, Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, or related discipline preferred
  • Associate's Degree Business, Organizational Management, Marketing, Communications, English, Math, Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, or related discipline preferred
