Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance and supervision of the Systems Manager, the Technical Associate will be performing the responsible duties in order to support the IT department and our business users on various projects as outlined below:
  • Manage the onboarding process for vendors and employees who needs network access, VDIs and administrative assistance.
  • Support department goals with analysis of reports,performing testing and updating documentation.
  • Meets with users and makes recommendations for requirements analysis and process improvements.
  • Assists in the development and updating of scope, design, schedule, and cost and performance information in specified documentation formats.
  • Develops reports and applications utilizing Microsoft tools such as Power BI or advanced excel functions, etc.
  • Support the development of standards, processes, tools to facilitate the Project Management governance model for the department.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on projects to ensure that standards are followed consistently. Work with the Systems Manager and project leads to provide insight for corrective action that is needed to ensure necessary standards are adhered to and applied consistently.

  • Performs unit, integration and system testing and sets up user acceptance testing for small to medium sized projects.
  • Performs high-level applications testing for technology upgrades.
  • Prepares routine maintenance changes on small to medium projects for move to production.
  • Troubleshoots production problems and assists others as required.
  • May perform standby duties, as required.
  • Participates in the Company's emergency management processes and storm plans as required.
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and Full-time or internship experience will count towards the one-year minimum of work experience requirement; Candidates that have participated in the company's full-time college cooperative or summer cooperative internships for a minimum of six months meet the EP experience requirements.

Preferred Education/Experience

Relevant Work Experience

  • Some experience with analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau. Required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required. Required
  • A good understanding of development best practices, agile ways of working, and architectural patterns. Required
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders in non-tech language. Required
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines simultaneously. Preferred
  • Some experience with the Microsoft development family (.NET, SQL Server, Azure DevOps). Preferred
  • Have a understanding of the Project Management principles and SDLC methodology. Preferred

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.

  • Driver's License Required

Other Physical Demands

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
  • Available to work off hours as operationally required.
