Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct cyber forensic investigations ranging from malware investigations to data/network security breaches, as well as insider threats.
  • Support corporate Information Security and operational Cyber Security teams as per incident response.
  • Research various Cybersecurity Technologies and work with SMEs to make recommendations.
  • Support operational areas in various regulatory requirements related to cyber incident response.
  • Compile data into presentations and reports.
  • Responsible for executing technically challenging and complex assignments.
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
  • Travel between company locations including CECONY/O&R and subsidiaries.
  • Participate in the Company's emergency management processes and storm plans as required.
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Engineering/Science or similar and digital forensics/cyber security academic courses And 3 years of relevent forensic or cyber security related experience Or
  • Associate's Degree Computer Engineering/Science or similar and digital forensics/cyber security academic courses And 4 years of relevent forensic or cyber security related experience Or
  • High School Diploma/GED And 5 years of relevent forensic or cyber security related experience

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Engineering/Science or similar and digital forensics/cyber security academic courses And 3 years of relevent forensic or cyber security related experience and forensic certifications such as ACE, EnCE, GIAC GCFA or similar.

Required Work Experience

  • Forensic or cyber security related work experience. Required
  • Knowlege of current and evolving cyber threat landscape. Required
  • Awareness of support operational areas in various regulatory requirements related to cyber incident response. Required
  • Experience with researching cyber security technologies. Required
  • Ability to compile data into presentations and reports. Required
  • Ablility and willlingness to execute technically challenging and complex assignments. Required
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills. Required
  • Must have strong analytical, technical and interpersonal skills. Required
  • Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications. Required
  • Forensic certifications such as ACE, EnCE, GIAC GCFA or similar are preferred. Pref

Physical Demands

  • Must push, pull, lift up to 40 pounds
  • Must sit or stand to answer a phone for entire shift
  • Must sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for entire shift
  • Must stoop, bend, reach and kneel throughout the workday
  • Must stand to use operate office equipment for entire shift
  • Must be able to read small print and symbols.

Other Physical Demands

  • Must be able and willing to travel between CECONY/OR and subsidiaries. This requires travel via public transportation along with personal vehicle.
