Core Responsibilities

  • For the Analyst (1H):
  • mining, monitoring, and aggregation of data for analysis and visualization by senior staff
  • Perform exploring, querying, and extraction of databases to analyze electric system conditions, impact, response, and reporting
  • Use and query disparate data system and sources (including internal and external data) and data transformation technologies, (e.g., SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and related cloud services).
  • Analyst have fundamental C/C#/C++/Visual Basic knowledge to understand concepts and carry out simple script, programming, or maintenance tasks
  • Must be flexible and able to work off-hours as required to support deployments, resolve production problems or respond to corporate emergencies.
  • Work with senior staff to support front and backend application development, data structures development, and systems integration
  • Coordinate and track progress of programs with stakeholders and company forces support the prioritization of work to design, upgrade, and maintenance of the Con Edison Distribution system.
  • Draft design and operation specifications and maintain applicable records as directed by senior staff.
  • Must be flexible and able to work off-hours as required to support deployments, resolve production problems or respond to corporate emergencies
  • For the Sr Analyst (2L):
  • Provide front and backend application development, data structures development.
  • Experienced C/C#/C++/Visual Basic programmer capable of coding and debugging complex applications
  • convert project and scope requirements into algorithms and processes to operationalize functional requirements
  • Provide analysis and visualization for solutions of work to design, upgrade, and maintain the Con Edison Distribution system.
  • Have experience working with teams supporting computer application projects.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects, including project tracking and documentation.
  • Develop design and operation specifications.
  • Must be flexible and able to work off-hours as required to support deployments, resolve production problems or respond to corporate emergencies
  • For the Systems Specialist (2H):
  • Architect and design software solutions for reliable, maintainable, reusable, scalable and extensible (e.g., data integration architectures experience developing applications and/or databases) applications
  • full life cycle software development experience - covering design, development, & user support.
  • Systems specialists review design and operation specifications for approval.
  • use excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills to present concepts and gain stakeholder engagement.
  • Incorporate emerging technologies and practices (e.g., cloud computing components and services in Azure and/or AWS or other cloud providers) into design solutions.
  • Act as product owner for new and existing suite of engineering applications.
  • Establish medium and long-term plans and priorities and estimate investment requirements.
  • Provide analytics expertise, guidance to support the prioritization of work to design, upgrade, and maintenance of the Con Edison Distribution system
  • Present complex analysis on program optimization to audiences of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Manage and Prioritize multiple projects, including project tracking and documentation.
  • Act as coach and mentor team members.
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or related field And 2 years of work related experience, proficiency with exploring and querying databases including the SQL coding language, experience integrating disparate data sources (including internal and external data) using data transformation technologies, (e.g. SQL Server Integration (SSIS), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and related cloud services, Fundamental C/C#/C++/Visual Basic knowledge, develops standards, prepares, & reviews design and operation specifications, maintain all applicable records, act as a field technical representative and direct field testing, experience in evaluating technology and establishing standard designs System Analyst (1H) Or
  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or related field And 4 years of work related experience,In addition to 1H requirements, the candidates full life cycle software development experience- covering design, develop,user support, C/C#/C++/Visual Basic programming experience, have working knowledge in emerging technologies and practices (e.g. cloud computing components and services in Azure and/or AWS or other cloud providers), experience with working with teams supporting analytics projects, have knowledge of Agile methodologies and how to apply them to IT infrastructure efforts. Sr. System Analyst (2L) Or
  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or related field And 6 years of work related experience, In addition to 2L requirements, the candidate,advanced understanding of architectural concepts and practices leading to solutions that are reliable, maintainable, reusable, scalable and extensible (e.g. data integration architectures experience developing applications and/or databases), ability to present complex analysis to audiences of varying technical backgrounds, skilled at selling new processes and techniques, communicate designs and give persuasive presentations, interact with all levels of management and communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience, expertise in running Agile projects as a product owner, act as a coach and mentor team members Systems Specialist (2H)

Preferred Education/Experience

Required Work Experience

Other Physical Demands

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts and 12 hour shifts as needed
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required, during visits to various work sites
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
  • Position requires walking, climbing and standing extensively
